Some trusses use many different chords that you can string together as pitched and parallel. By following these guidelines you should be able to find a manufacturer or wholesale supplier that can give you all of the new and used wood and metal truss products and services that you need. When you contact the construction supply company, ask them how long they have been in business. You will want to choose a manufacturer or wholesale distributor with many years of experience because they will be able to help you pick the right plane truss for the space of the construction project that you are working on. Ask them what types of materials they use to make their construction trusses. You might find that some of them only build new wood and metal products, but others can give you a discount for using used materials that can be quite sturdy as long as your roof or bridge is designed correctly and is not expected to carry an extremely large amount of weight. Ask the company for a list of references. This is often the best way to determine if they are really reliable.

Truss might be considered a static structure that consists of straight slender limbs inter-connected at the joints into triangular units. Trusses may be used for bridges, homes, buildings and floor construction. Two basic types of trusses might be known. One could be the pitched truss and the other could be the common truss. These two are triangular shaped and may most often be used for roof construction. Two other trusses could be called parallel chord truss or flat truss. These two trusses get their name for being parallel at the top and at the bottom chords and may be used for floor construction.
